At 24, Sharad Sagar from Patna, listed in Forbes

Patna’s Sharad Vivek Sagar is former student of St Dominic Savio’s High School in Patna boring road ,has been listed in Forbes’ fifth annual ‘30 Under 30’ list of social entrepreneurs.

Where Sharad Vivek Sagar grew up in India, 84 percent of people are living below the poverty line. Education, a vehicle meant to drive individuals toward success, was failing. At 13 years old, however, a homeschooled Sagar was determined to transform the ailing system.This realization really shocked and invigorated Sagar, who banded together with other like-minded teenagers in 2006 to launch his first nonprofit, We Aim High, an organization working actively with youth in a variety of fields, including education, environment, human rights, policy and social change and now Sharad Sagar is the Founder and CEO of Dexterity Global, an internationally awarded social enterprise.

Sagar went on to represent India in more than a dozen international conferences and competitions. The Hindustan Times, India’s largest circulated newspaper, listed him among “50 Heroes of Bihar” while the magazine Suman Saurabh named Sagar a “Changemaker of India.”
Sharad is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Dexterity School of Public Speaking, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship, India’s first school of its kind, where high school kids are taught by TED Fellows, Ashoka Fellows, Presidential Awardees, and other reputed change makers and leaders. In the past five years, Dexterity Global has engaged over 250,000 students in more than 46 countries across 6 continents.
Sharad Sagar is not just a social innovator. He is a hero to thousands of students across the world, and proof that hard work and moral character can bring about great impact for the better.
Sagar, has helped more than 100,000 young people through Dexterity Global’s three platforms: DexChallenge, DexGlobe and DexSchool.He recently featured in the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Next Century Innovators’ list.

DexChallenge was the company’s initial platform, fueled by Sagar’s desire to bring the world’s top students together into an arena where they could compete.
